Maidenhead: Dear Raquel
by Valerie Holek

Editor's Note: In an effort to broaden the scope of JourneyDigest.com's music reach, we've started a series of new CD reviews. It is our goal that by reviewing new music, we can help expose folks to new music which they may find very enjoyable. We strive to maintain an emphasis on AOR (Album Oriented Rock) and MOR (Melodic Oriented Rock) genre in which a Journey fan might be very comfortable.

It is with this spirit in mind that we present to you the first in our series:

From the very first song, you can hear the influence that Tom Petty, Queen, The Beatles, Cheap Trick andTommy Shaw have on Gary.

Gary Stein, the guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist for this band is wonderfully talented with a fantastic voice and exudes so much energy in the songs that you can actually feel it.

Other band members include: David George on bass guitar, guitar and vocals and Michael Barras on drums. Other musicians used on this album were guitarists Rick Olivarez and Ben Sumner.

Not only does Gary play the guitar and keyboard and sing, but he also wrote all but two of the songs on the CD (I Can't Walk Away (Steve McWilliams) and Isn't That Enough(Gary Stein & Kyle Melancon))

Track Listing:

First Kiss
I Can't Walk Away
Dear Raquel
Another Lonely Girl
Easier
Dream About You
Imaginary Friend
Sentimental Trio
Isn't That Enough
Sweet Little Innocent You
Running Back Again
